ABOUT THE CLIENT
Sensoria is a software company based in Redmond, Washington DC. Sensoria Inc. is focused on delivering a family of body-sensing devices for the human foot. Our wearable textile sensors capture, monitor and communicate data such as activity type, level and in-footwear pressure to the user. The data is presented and analyzed by an easy-to-use dashboard. Sensoria Fitness products make it more fun and safer to exercise. They may also contribute to prevent certain injuries, and in case of injury or disease they track patient adherence and offloading data.
THE REQUIREMENT
Motus app is a flagship mobile application by Sensoria to heal diabetic foot. This mobile application is compatible with the Smart Boot. The current state of the mobile application is a basic feature app requiring upgrade from its existing features.
The application upgradation is to enhance the app from an authentication perspective, including QR code scan. The app should provide BLE interface to connect with the smart boot. The intended / desired application should meet compliance requirements as laid down by the regulations – care plan opted by the user. The wish from the application is to send push notifications and the ability to sync with cloud.
THE SOLUTION
Emorphis mobile application design and development team, took the task to challenge. The resultant mobile app – Syncs with cloud, to better manage state of diabetic foot patients. From a UX / UI design interface perspective, we redesigned the experience including the redesigning of the screens. The mobile app syncs data to the cloud at regular intervals.
The mobile app’s key feature is alerts – any non-compliance alerts will be shown in the form of pop-ups, when device (smart boot) is foregrounded. These alerts are coupled with important questionnaire. The push notifications sends important reminders such as appointment.
The app features an all important information section – facility to show doctor summary, tutorials, FAQs etc.
About the Smart Boot –
Optima Molliter’s Motus Smart is the first and only sensor infused diabetic footwear product clinically tested to reduce risk of amputations. Monitors patient activity and adherence to mechanical offloading guidance thanks to the embedded Sensoria Core technology.
